xAI has released Grok Voice 3.0, a speech-to-speech model for real-time voice agents. It is available now in xAI's Voice Agent API as grok-voice-3.0 at $0.08 per minute, the same price as Grok Voice 2.0.
xAI announced the model on October 14, 2026. Grok Voice 2.0 is now deprecated, and apps that use the grok-voice-latest alias were moved to the new model automatically. xAI says the model already handles millions of conversations a day in Tesla vehicles. It says Starlink call centers use it for 20,000 customer calls a day, and about 70% are resolved with no human involved.
What it is
- A speech-to-speech model for voice agents, with tool use, over WebSocket. SIP and LiveKit connections are also supported.
- Latency under one second, according to xAI. Artificial Analysis measures 0.81 seconds to first audio.
- 20+ languages, including English, Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Turkish.
- At Starlink, xAI says a single agent built on the model verifies customers, troubleshoots hardware, issues credits and ships replacement equipment.

Grok Voice 3.0 has the top score on the Artificial Analysis Speech-to-Speech Index. It trails GPT-Live-1 on τ-Voice, a benchmark of customer support calls, where xAI says it answers 40% faster. On the full Artificial Analysis list, other models score higher on Big Bench Audio and Full Duplex Bench.
