Let's talk about the hottest European AI and robotics startup rounds from today.
Enact Intelligence
Enact Intelligence raised a M pre-seed round at an undisclosed valuation to build force-sensing tactile foundation models for industrial robotics. Today, the biggest bottleneck for physical robotics is that cameras and vision models fail whenever hands block the line of sight, and Zurich-based Enact is developing tactile models that teach robots to manipulate fragile assembly parts purely by feeling pressure and touch. The company emerged from stealth backed directly by Mistral AI chief executive Arthur Mensch and Meta's former chief AI scientist Yann LeCun in one of the largest pre-seed rounds in European robotics history.
Beyond Vision
Beyond Vision raised over €28M in fresh growth financing to scale production of autonomous AI-powered drone fleets for defense and infrastructure. Border security forces and utility grid operators struggle with maintaining continuous situational awareness over vast rugged terrains, and Beyond Vision combines autonomous vertical takeoff drones with edge AI computer vision to monitor infrastructure and detect anomalies in real time without human pilots. The Lisbon-based drone manufacturer already achieved official NATO supplier certification and is expanding manufacturing to deliver thousands of AI-piloted systems across Europe.
NAiSE
NAiSE secured a strategic investment from German industrial giant Körber at an undisclosed valuation to orchestrate mixed warehouse robot fleets on a single operating system. Modern factory floors operate dozens of incompatible autonomous mobile robots and human-driven forklifts from different vendors that collide and jam logistics corridors, and Stuttgart-based NAiSE built a vendor-agnostic traffic operating system that coordinates robots from any manufacturer into a synchronized warehouse swarm. The startup had been entirely bootstrapped, self-funded, and profitable since 2017 before partnering with Körber to deploy its platform across automotive and logistics facilities globally.
QuantrolOx
QuantrolOx raised €12M in Series A funding at an undisclosed valuation to automate quantum processor tuning with machine learning. Quantum computers require expert experimental physicists to spend weeks manually recalibrating fragile superconducting qubits, and this Anglo-Finnish spinout builds automated software that uses reinforcement learning to continuously tune quantum hardware. Spun out of Oxford University's physics department, their automated AI tuning engines slashed qubit calibration times from 48 hours of manual adjustments down to under 8 minutes.
A common thread across all four European deals is that Europe's venture landscape is heavily doubling down on physical AI and sovereign deep tech: tactile robotics, autonomous defense hardware, quantum automation, and mixed-fleet factory logistics.
